Children’s Church

Helping Children Know and Love God’s Word

Children’s Church is available for children ages 4-9

Children are dismissed right before the sermon

At Christ the King, we want our children to grow in their understanding of who God is, what He has done for them through Jesus Christ, and how His Word applies to their lives.

Our Sunday School provides children with age-appropriate Bible teaching in a welcoming classroom environment where they can learn, ask questions, and build relationships with their teachers and other children.

Sunday School is available for children who are potty trained and ready to participate in a classroom setting.

Visiting for the First Time?

We know that visiting a new church can feel a little unfamiliar, especially when you’re bringing children along. We want to make your first Sunday as easy as possible.

Ask One of Our Greeters for Help & Directions

When you arrive, simply let one of our greeters know that you have a child who would like to attend Sunday School. We’ll help you find the appropriate classroom, introduce you to the teachers, and explain anything you need to know for that morning.

You’re also welcome to ask questions before leaving your child with us. We want both parents and children to feel comfortable.

What Children Can Expect

Sunday School is designed to help children engage with the Bible in a way they can understand. Depending on the lesson and age group, a typical Sunday may include:

  • Bible teaching and discussion

  • Prayer

  • Activities that reinforce the lesson

  • Time with teachers and other children

  • Encouragement to understand and apply God’s Word

Our desire is not simply for children to learn Bible facts, but to help them see the truth and beauty of the Gospel and grow in their knowledge and love of Christ.

We’re Glad Your Family Is Here

Whether your family has been attending church for years or this is your very first visit, your children are welcome at CTK.

If you’re unsure about where your child should go on Sunday morning, just ask. One of our volunteers will be happy to help you get settled.
